P90X Reviews and Featured P90X Review
Why I chose the P90X workout program?
At the age of 29, before starting this workout, I was in the worst shape of my life. After years of enjoying athletic activities, mountain bike racing, and backpacking, I had let my body retire to sitting in front of my computer 24/7. (I work in a technology related industry.) The lack of physical activity was causing me to constantly be tired and also caused me to be more prone to lower self-esteem issues. Because of my athletic past, I knew that getting back into shape would allow me to have more energy, feel good, and have confidence in my body.
Deciding that I needed to get into shape, I started to look into joining a gym. The gyms in my area ranged from $50 to $150 a month for membership. Even the city pool was going to cost me $30 a month. I was also looking into hiring a personal trainer so that I could achieve goals and learn some new exercise routines to gain results. However, a personal trainer was going to cost about $50 to $150 a session. I don’t know about you, but that’s a lot of money to me.
Undecided about the exercise route I was going to take, I decided just to get a basic pull-up bar for my home so, I could at least start to get into shape. So, I went to Amazon to pick up a pull-up bar. While surfing the site, I kept noticing the name P90X in the recommended items. Curious about this program, I read the reviews and did some other research to find out more about this program. My search on the internet revealed that this program appeared to be the real deal and normal everyday people were getting serious results.
I think the reason that everyday people are getting results from the P90X program is that it not only has an innovative “Muscle Confusion” exercise program, but it helps you with meal planning (i.e. nutrition) and supplements. If you are a neophyte in proper workout techniques and nutrition like me, then P90X is definitely for you. The P90X workout is basically your gym and nutritional plan in a box.
Anyways, Amazon was charging $140 for the P90X Exercise Program so, I decided that it would be a cost effective solution to my exercise woes. For the cost of 3 months gym membership, I could have a complete workout program with Tony Horton as my personal trainer. I figured that having a program with a complete workout routine and nutritional plan was way better than exercising aimlessly at an overpriced gym and eating Taco Bell. That’s when I started the P90X Extreme Home Fitness Program.
What is the P90X Extreme Home Fitness Workout Program?
The P90X extreme workout is perfect for anyone looking for a complete body workout. It will help you get lean, get big with bulk, and/or grow very strong.
The P90X Workout program is a 12 DVD training course that centers around a technique called Muscle Confusion. The Muscle Confusion Technique is implemented by constantly using new exercises and movements to confuse your muscles. The constant confusion of the muscles prevents your body from plateaus and accelerates your results. The workout program is designed by personal trainer Tony Horton. The package includes a 3-phase nutritional plan and dietary supplements advice.
The 12 discs workout program includes the following workouts: chest and back, plyometrics, shoulders and arms, yoga x, legs and back, knpo x, x stretch, core synergistics, chest shoulders and triceps, back and biceps, cardio x, and ab ripper x. The package includes a fitness guide to help you get the most out of your P90X workout. It shows you how to follow the P90X workout to get the famous P90X results. It's really important to read the guide, because they will talk about motivation and steps you can do to avoid injury. Probably one of the most important parts of the guide is the fit test. This is a serious of tests to see if you are fit enough to take on the P90X DVD challenge. This is an extreme workout so, it's important that your body is ready for the challenge. If not, it might be best to step back and do the Power 90. Anyways, the fitness and nutritional guide are very good tools. The guide also has many P90X reviews that show you what is possible with the P90X workout.
Please leave me your P90X review. I'd love to hear your success with the P90X program. There are a lot of remarkable stories about some serious P90X results. I'm currently using the program to maintain my fitness at home, when I don't get a chance to go mountain biking or kayaking. Basically, it's my filler for those rainy days or busy work days. It's improved my lifestyle and cleared my mind. As Tony says, all you have to do is keep pushing play. On days that you don't feel like working out, at least put in the DVD and magically, before you know it, your doing the P90X workout. It has a way of sucking you in. So, how about it? Give me your P90X reviews!

P90X rocks! Love it!
Yeah, there are a lot of P90x reviews online where people are getting totally ripped. Then there are some where the people haven’t made such great gains. The secret in any workout routine is to really push yourself hard. The P90X workout definitely has everything you need to get into great shape. You just have to stay motivated and push yourself!
I forgot to rate it, sorry. I say 5 overall, 5 usability, 5 price (see review) and 4 on results. Possibly a 5 on results but I don’t follow the diet so I can’t be completely fair in rating it there.
Dang, I forgot to rate it then replied to Tom rather than my own review. Is there a P90X for the mind?
I love P90X. At age 58 my goals are different than most younger people, but I find it highly effective. The cost is a little steep on the front end, but once you buy it you can use it over andd over again so it becomes very cheap as compared to a gym. I am more fit, from head to toe, than I have been in decades. Sure its tough, but most moves can be modified until your fitness allows full intensity. I am doing doubles on my second time through and it is great!
Hi John - Thanks for your P90X review! I found the program to be really challenging at first; however, as my body started to get more conditioned it became a little easier. It is a great alternative to the gym. I actually learned quite a bit about my body, because it was the first time that I had ever used a heart rate monitor while working out. For the longest time, I would get sick whenever I did any heavy cardio workouts and I couldn’t figure out why? Well, the P90X program forced me to get a heart rate monitor and quickly learned that my heart rate was through the roof with just a little bit of cardio. In other words, when I was cycling I was pushing myself way to hard for an unconditioned body. So, P90x not only helped me get back into shape, but it taught me quite a bit about the body and how to exercise properly. It’s just so perfect for physical fitness newbs.
I have been running 5 miles a day for 8 wks and my knee was killing me. I started P90X Tuesday less than 2 wks ago. The first week KILLED ME. I could not get off my chair at work or out of the car with out a struggle but 8 days later and wk 2 - only mild soreness! The first week was the WORST but today, I feel GREAT. I modify as I need - I can’t do push ups so, I stay in a plank position or do as many as I can on my knees. Plyometrics was the worst but now, the second time around it’s FINE. I can’t wait to see results because in 2 wks, I already feel stronger.
Here is my rating, sorry! I am giving it 5 stars for results not based on MY RESULTS but my husbands. 5 wks and he has more definition and lost 12 lbs. We do not follow the NUTRITIONAL part of this and usually eat healthy and like food allot. He’s loosing the weight and feels great. It’s more than the gym did for him and the cost is a great savings..
What do you think?
My husband and I started this program together. We are on day 14 and I have to say that I really started to notice the beginning of results around my 12th workout. Thats when we started to compliment eachother on noticeable changes in eachother. I really like the work outs. Of course, I do some modifications with the push ups and pull ups but am still seeing tone and muscle in my arms, toner legs and trimming of the middle. I have never seen quicker results. Of course I have also never worked out like this before. I really enjoy Tony as a trainer. He really encourages you to keep going and makes it okay to modify or take a break if you need it. Cant wait to see my 30, 60 and 90 day results. So far, so good.
Thank you for the information. P90X is a fantastic program. I have been doing it for about 6 weeks now.
